Terms & Conditions of Service

Last updated: 16 July 2025

These Terms & Conditions of Service (“Terms”) apply to all travel consulting and booking services offered by Murbeaux Voyages (“Murbeaux”, “we”, or “us”). Murbeaux is a boutique travel consultancy based in Sweden, operated as a sole proprietorship (enskild firma), with its registered address at Tegnérlunden 4, 113 59 Stockholm, Sweden.

By requesting our services, you (“the client”) agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming any bookings.

1. Scope of services

Murbeaux provides curated travel advice and facilitates bookings for accommodation, private transfers, activities, train journeys, cruises, and other travel-related services. Our focus is on personalized, high-quality travel experiences tailored to each client’s preferences.

2. Role of Murbeaux

Murbeaux acts as an independent travel advisor and booking intermediary, not as a tour operator or travel service provider. This means:

  • We provide personalized travel consulting, itinerary suggestions, and booking support based on your preferences and our professional judgment.

  • We do not own or operate any hotels, airlines, cruise lines, or other travel service providers.

  • The contract for travel services is always between you and the travel service provider — such as a hotel, cruise line, airline, or activity operator (the “supplier”).

  • You book with – and pay directly to – the supplier.

  • To facilitate your bookings, we rely on a broad set of booking networks, travel partners, and affiliates, including Fora Travel (USA), IATA-accredited platforms, and direct supplier relationships.

Murbeaux does not act as a tour operator or package travel provider under the EU Package Travel Directive (2015/2302) or the Swedish Package Travel Act (Paketreselagen, 2018:1217). If we assist you in booking a package offered by a registered tour operator, that tour operator – not Murbeaux – is considered the legal organizer and bears full responsibility for the package under applicable law.

3. Booking process and confirmation

When you approve a proposed itinerary or request a booking, we will:

  • Assist you in securing the reservation(s) via our trusted booking channels.

  • Confirm the booking by email, including any relevant terms from the supplier (such as cancellation policies and other conditions).

By instructing Murbeaux to proceed with a booking, you confirm that you accept both the supplier’s terms and these Murbeaux Terms.

4. Prices and payment information

Murbeaux’s services are normally offered free of charge to you as the client. In cases of time-intensive or complex planning, Murbeaux may propose a separate service fee. Any such fee will always be clearly communicated and must be accepted by you before proceeding.

Instead, Murbeaux earns commissions from certain suppliers, including hotels. These commissions do not affect the prices you pay and are not charged in addition to your quoted rate.

Prices are quoted either in the supplier’s booking currency (e.g., USD or EUR), or as an estimated equivalent in your preferred currency. When estimates are provided, they are based on mid-market exchange rates published by Morningstar at the time of quoting. Please note that hotel prices fluctuate, and all pricing is subject to change until the booking is confirmed. Currency exchange rates also fluctuate and may change by the time the supplier charges your card. The exact timing of your card charge is determined by the supplier and may vary depending on the rate type, booking date, and property policies.

All your payments are made directly to the supplier, typically by credit card via a secure payment link hosted by Fora Travel (USA) or another trusted platform. To facilitate future bookings, your card may be stored in Fora Travel’s secure system. If you wish it to be removed, please let us know.

5. Cancellations, amendments & refunds

Cancellation and refund policies vary by supplier and will be clearly communicated before you commit to book.

Please note:

  • Murbeaux is not responsible for any cancellation fees or denied refunds imposed by the supplier.

  • Changes to your itinerary after booking may incur additional costs or be subject to availability.

  • In most cases, cancellations must be made through Murbeaux and cannot be completed directly with the supplier. If you are unsure whether a direct cancellation is possible, please contact us first.

  • We will assist with cancellation communications and documentation but cannot guarantee a refund, as this is subject to the supplier’s terms.

  • For time-sensitive cancellations (e.g. when a refund deadline is approaching), we strongly recommend notifying us by email and phone or text message to ensure your request is received and actioned in time.

6. Client responsibilities

As the traveler, you are responsible for:

  • Providing complete and accurate information regarding the number of travelers, the full names of all travelers, and the ages of any minors as of the date of check-out, as hotel pricing and policies may depend on this.

  • Reviewing all booking details and confirming their accuracy (including names, travel dates, passport validity, etc.).

  • Ensuring you meet all entry requirements for your destination (such as visas, vaccinations, and travel insurance).

  • Informing Murbeaux of any relevant needs, such as allergies or mobility limitations, that may affect hotel arrangements or special requests.

  • Notifying Murbeaux promptly of any errors, delays, or travel disruptions.

Murbeaux is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client.

7. Liability and limitations

Murbeaux cannot be held liable for:

  • Acts or omissions of third-party suppliers.

  • Delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by the supplier.

  • Losses, damages, injuries, or additional costs arising from travel delays, accidents, weather, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, or acts of war.

In the event of a service issue, Murbeaux’s financial responsibility is generally limited to the amount of the commission or service fee earned on the affected booking by Murbeaux, unless otherwise required by law.

Our role is limited to advising, planning, and facilitating bookings in good faith, based on available information and supplier terms.

8. Privacy and data protection

Murbeaux complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using our services, you agree to the processing of personal data as outlined in our Privacy policy.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. In the event of a dispute, we encourage resolution through dialogue and mutual agreement. Where appropriate, disputes may be submitted to the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC) and resolved in accordance with the SCC Rules for Expedited Arbitration. The seat of arbitration shall be Stockholm, and the language of proceedings shall be English.

10. Acceptance of terms

By requesting or confirming travel services through Murbeaux, you accept these Terms, whether or not you have signed a separate agreement.
